Preparing for a production always brings a buzz of excitement and anticipation.
This year’s performance of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ was no exception. Early
September saw over 150 pupils audition for a part – and it was very difficult to
narrow down the cast to the final 70. With the script finalized, it was time to
start the process of rehearsal. This is the crucial preparation time when all
the pupils work together to learn how and when to say their lines. It’s also a
time of socialization as pupils from across the whole school learn to work
together.
It was a wonderful privilege to witness so many pupils perform in such a
professional manner. I was so very proud to be part of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’
and I feel humbled by the talent and commitment that you all showed. The
performance was outstanding and will remain in our memories as ‘one of the
best.’ Congratulations to you all!!!
