BBC School Report Day! Thursday 11th March 2010Today, the 11th March, was BBC School Report Day!
The day began sleepily with an unexpected trip to the BBC WM breakfast show with host Phil Upton. Two of our pupils, Ellis and James, were quizzed by Phil about what we thought of the project.
At 8:30AM, our news day began!
After a short editorial meeting we had our final running order and we each set about chasing our stories…
Throughout the day, we all worked frantically researching, writing and eventually filming our reports – these then came together to make our final news report.
At the end of a long day, we went live – adding the finishing touches to the news report and publishing it on the website.
During the news day (and the weeks running up to it) every member of the Bartley Green News team learnt a lot about news and journalism while having a lot of fun at the same time.
